Rizeup Australia has created various programs that empower families experiencing domestic violence. The programs include helping to create new homes for victims fleeing a violent household, supporting children in their healing process and raising funds for families left with nothing after fleeing dangerous domestic situations.

Running CEOs Brisbane 2017 is dedicated to raising funds to support the annual delivery of programs created by Rizeup Australia to families fleeing domestic violence, children raising their self-esteem while in a refuge and families rebuilding their lives after leaving a refuge.

Women’s Legal Service

Women’s Legal Service (WLS) is a specialist community legal centre providing free legal and social work services to Queensland women. WLS assists women in the areas of family law, child support, domestic violence and child protection. Women’s Legal Service aims to help women in Queensland who do not qualify for Legal Aid and are unable to afford a private lawyer.

Running CEOs Brisbane 2017 is dedicated to raising funds to support the WLS Helpline (1800 957 957). The Helpline is an accessible first point of contact for more than 3,200 women per year. In 2015, more than 16,000 calls went unanswered. The Helpline workers provide information and referrals to all women, and if appropriate, arrange a free 30 minute appointment with an experienced family law solicitor.

Run 2 Give Foundation

Run 2 Give Foundation is a registered charity that hosts running and other sporting events to raise funds to benefit persons affected by domestic violence and persons in necessitous circumstances in the South East Queensland community.

Run 2 Give Foundation also supports initiatives encouraging children and young adults to maintain a physically active connection with their community as they move through the teenage years and into early adulthood with the aim of reducing the large drop-off of sporting participation occurring in the late teen and early adult years.
